Christian Maurer-Grubinger

Founder

Dr. Maurer is the founder and lead scientist of move-functional. He has a doctorate in natural science (physics) from the University of Innsbruck, Austria. In addition, he holds a B.S. in human movement science. He is the author of more than 30 scientific publications and holds several awards (e.g. Christian Doppler Award, CSB New Investigator Finalist). His main research interest is the functional analysis of movement patterns with respect to rehabilitation, injury prevention and performance. He uses both linear and nonlinear approaches for data reduction and analysis. His current research focus is on the determination of movement patterns in both healthy and injured runners.
